Reaching The Two's

We are definately reaching the two's with Miss Kaylee. We are dealing with some extreme tantrums and she is very independant. If she wants to do something or go somewhere-she will. But as trying as these times are with her we are also seeing some amazing changes and things she is learning and doing. Everytime I update her blog I have new words she is saying and her vocabulary grows more every day. She is also doing great with counting still. Some of her favorite things now are dancing and singing. We watched "Momma Mia" yesterday which has been one of her favorite movies for awhile. Usually she will only stay interested in a movie or t.v. show for a few minutes which is fine with us because we want her to be a kid that enjoys being outside and active. But "Momma Mia" she will actually sit through the entire movie and at every song she will stand up and dance through the whole thing. Yesterday after it was over she spent all afternoon singing to herself. Pretty sweet!!! Since her 2nd birthday is coming next month we plan to get her a bike. We had assumed we had a little bit before she was ready for that but she surprised us all when she jumped on a tricycle and rode it down the sidewalk with no problem. I can't wait to get a video fo that for her blog! She is also is being very helpful. When I put clothes away she will put her clothes in her dresser. (ofcourse not folded though). Now when I do dishes she will grab a stool and stand next to me and rinse them. And now she wants to hold the vacuum and do that for me as well. I know once Ana is born she will be a great help. At least that is what I want her to think!

Mommy's Little Helper

Kaylee usually gets scared when the vacuum starts up. I will have to hold her in one arm and vacuum with the other. Which is getting very hard to do while pregnant. But yesterday she surprised me and not only didn't want to be held but wanted to vacuum herself.

Kay's "Pet Feesh"

I tied a stuffed fish to a string. And now Kaylee will pull it and run around saying "C'mon feesh". This poor fish is filthy now from going through bushes and dirt. It's helped us realize thank god we don't have a puppy because Kaylee would be dragging the poor thing everywhere!

September 9th

Kaylee got a toy bat today and Brian took her to the Wharf with it. What actually cracks me up the most is when she gets up and just walks away. It's a good look at how independent she now is! She does what she wants!!

A Little Dance

Quick Clip of Kaylee at the beach

Brian and Kaylee at the beach. Her favorite word right now is "vacuum" and anytime she hears something or something is loud she says "vacuum". That is what she was saying the sound of the ocean was. Then says "Bye" to all the boats.

September Update

Kaylee and Brian's favorite thing to do has always been a walk to the Wharf. Now Kaylee loves the ocean. As soon as Brian pulls up from work she runs out to the stroller and says "Walk"? And then "Walk beach"? She has become the total Santa Cruz Local! Everytime we are out, people I have never seen, will say "Hi Kaylee"! And on the beach she will watch the Volleyball players and yell "Go guys"!!
It's also been really good spending more time with Renee's 2 year old Cherry. Kaylee has really picked up new things from her that Cherry has learned in school. I've noticed Kay's vocabulary has really increased since spending time with her. Not to mention Kaylee is learning how to share and now asks when she can go play with Cherry. The other night Renee and Cherry stopped by on their way home and when it was time to go Cherry and Kaylee held eachother and cried. It was really sweet! I'm hoping we can get Kaylee into a pre-school soon. I think it will be really good for her and a good way to get her ready for the school years!
