Kaylee started this thing today, and it is sooo funny, when she sees the light on the camera go on, she lifts her head back and looks up. I swear I took about 30 photos of her today just to see how many times she would do it. And every time she would. Towards the end not only did she put her head back but she would open her mouth real wide. It is so strange and soo funny. I just had to post some of these pictures.

Kaylee Rolls Over

Good Job Brian!!

Feb. 25th 2008- Brian has 18 months clean and sober! I am so proud of all that he has accomplished in his 18 months. He has completely turned his life around and never slacks on what he needs to do to maintain his sobriety. If you would've told me a couple years ago that Brian Funk was going to be sober, on his way to becoming a drug and alcohol counselor, and being a part of his family, I would not have believed it. But that is exactly what he is doing. I am so honored to have him as my husband, my friend, and an amazing father to our little girl. Brian- We all our so proud of you and appreciate everything that you do. I love you, baby-Jessica

Guess what Kaylee can do?

This morning during Tummy-Time, Kaylee rolled over, 4 times!! She has only done a few other times but it was a struggle and she became frustrated. But not today!! She rolled right over, like a pro, and always had a big smile when she was done. I believe she feels very proud of herself. And I couldn't be more proud. I called Brian at work and he can't wait to come home and see for himself. I got a video of it, so stay tuned, I'll try to get it on here ASAP!

Kaylee's Check-Up-Feb.21,2008

Kaylee had her 4 month check-up today, she was suppose to get her shots, but she is running a fever and has an Ear Infection. Now, before I tell you her weight and all that fun stuff, I have to say this...Brian and I both had lots of ear problems when we were young, and now that I am experiencing what our mom's went through, I feel I should apologize to both Arla and Debbie, because it is horrible. Brian and I are taking turns walking the apartment holding her while she cries. I'm dancing to baby classical musical, cradling her, Brian is singing to her...It is just heart breaking. So, we both give you moms, big props!!! :)
Now, on to the fun stuff, Kaylee weighs 14 pounds-10 ounces. She is 25 inches long. Besides the nasty ear infection, her health is great, her lungs and heart sound great. And she even is doing things early for her age, like starting to sit up.

What We Do For Fun...

We live about 2 blocks up from the Wharf, so on days that sun is out, we load up Miss Kaylee and take a walk to the end, and look at the Sea Lions.

I try to read to Kaylee every morning, I love books, and I think she enjoys it too. She tries to talk to the book and loves the pictures. We have been reading, "Grumpy Bunny-All Year Long". It has 7 stories about a grumpy bunny named "Hopper". To be completely honest, I really like the stories myself...ha/ha :)

What She's Upto...

Kaylee is starting to sit up on her own. She is still a bit wobbly but she is getting the hang of it.
She also kicks her legs when she is excited. Grandma Arla bought her a "jumperoo", so she can bounce and burn some of that crazy energy she has!!

Kaylee is 4 months old. Her favorite toy is her stuffed animal named "Bear-Bear". She is smiling and talking to us constantly, however, once she sees the camera she will not smile. Kaylee has quite the personality now. She can be very serious and yet very lovable at the same time.
This site is for family and friends to be able to see and hear how Miss Kaylee Michele is doing. She is growing up and changing so fast, it's just amazing, and I wanted to share it with everyone. Please be patient with me, though, this whole "blog" thing is new to me and will be teaching myself how exactly to do everything on it. :) -Jess
