Easter...

We all had a really fun Easter. We went to my parent's house and had an early dinner out in the backyard. Kaylee had a blast. She really loves it there because she can hang out in the yard and look at all the bright flowers and play by the pond. She got to meet Sugar the Cat. But it was only for a minute since she grabbed a hold of his ear and wouldn't let go. His loud meow made her laugh. Thats my girl!

Kaylee Got Her 1rst Tooth

Kaylee got her first tooth today!! She was really fussy and nothing was making her happy. I thought maybe she was overly tired but then she started to chew on my finger and I felt it on the bottom. Yay!! She is really growing up so fast!
This is our second day of solids. Sticking with just peas for now. It seems to be going well. No tummy problems and no allergies so far! Brian got off work at an earlier time today so we took Kaylee to the Wharf. Thats my favorite things to do, is go for a walk, the three of us. He has been working everyday so it's been just kaylee and I going for walks. Its still nice but it's better with Brian. The whole Funk trio. haha.
We are looking forward to Easter! Brian is off so we plan to go to my parent's house early. Hopefully the weather will be nice and Kaylee can play in the back like last time we were there. She loved that so much. We are doing an Easter Egg Hunt too. I know Kaylee won't be able to eat the eggs this year but I will!! I love hard boiled eggs. Thats all for now...

Saint Patricks Day

For the past 8 years, my stepdad John and I have always taken a picture together on Saint Patricks Day. I'm not sure why we started this but it is now a tradition for us. The first couple of years we both would have a glass of green beer in our hands but since I got clean and sober we now hold up Ginger Ale in the green can. This year, we started having one with just him and I and then now we have one with brian and kaylee also in it.

A Night Out With The Girls

Kaylee and I spent the night at my friend Renee's house last night. Renee has a daughter named "Cherry" who is a few months older then Kaylee. It was the first time Kaylee got to really hang out and play with another baby so it was alot of fun. Plus, I got to visit with my good friend, and we had a really fun and low-key night. I took some pictures and had to post them. The two girls were really funny together. Kaylee is 3 months younger and yet she is about the same size as Cherry. Kaylee even went to bed at 9pm and slept all through the night till 8am. I'm now trying to keep her up a little longer and being more active during the day so hopefully she will continue to sleep through the nights. But as I am writing this Kaylee just woke up and shows no signs of going back to bed anytime soon. Thats my girl!!

Starting Solids..

Kaylee started solids today! She has been eating Oatmeal for awhile and has done well with that so we started her a bit early. They have organic baby food for 4 months and up. We decided to start with Peas. I only gave her about 2 tablespoons maybe a little less. I didn't want her to get a stomach ache. She loved them. We will stick with Peas for a few days to make sure there are no food allergies and then plan to go to Squash.

Kaylee's new quilt

Kaylee got this special quilt from her Grampa John. It's very old so we will save for her when she gets a bit older. For now, it's going to hang up on the wall behind her crib. She loves the colors in the quilt.

Happy Anniversary

This picture was taken when I was 7 months pregnant.
Today is Brian and I's 6 month wedding anniversary. While we went out to lunch and to do some long needed grocery shopping Kaylee spent the day with Grandma Debbie and Grandpa John. They read books and the three of them went for a walk. Grandpa John showed her the garden and his big American Flag he has out front. She loved it and especially loved their wind chimes. She had a great time!! As for Brian and I, well, it was nice going out and spending time just the two of us, but we both were missing our little girl. I've never drove so fast somewhere before. I needed to see my baby!! I love my family...
